About Us

As you’re probably aware each electricity/gas supplier requires you to give them a termination notice to end your contract(s) with them. What you may not be aware of is that different suppliers require a different notice period to be given, some as much as three months before the end of the contract.

Every supplier should send you a Renewal Notice in writing informing you that your contract(s) are due for renewal and give details of the new price(s), the term of the new contract and a date for you to respond by should you so wish to cancel the contract. The renewal notices do not always arrive and/or arrive after the response date, which then ties you the retailer into a new contract at an increased price and for a term of up to three year. Once the renewal window has passed the contract comes into force and you are tied in for the duration.

How can you avoid this?

At the bottom of this page is a form where you can log your future renewals. Once logged, we will then contact you nearer the time of your renewal to remind you and help you avoid these large price increases.

What should I do next?

  1. Don’t put it off until it’s too late! – Even if you have just rolled over in to a new contract log your renewal now whilst its fresh in your mind and we can contact you nearer the time.
  2. Be proactive don’t wait for the supplier to inform you, as the renewal notice may never arrive. Contact your supplier to find out what the contract end date is.
  3. Calculate where your Renewal Window will fall from the contract end date your supplier has provided. (Please see table below – Notice Requirements)
  4. Give your supplier Termination Notice in advance, this can always be withdrawn at a later date should you decide to accept the renewal prices quoted.
